Dan Peterka is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and retired firefighter/paramedic. He has been in the Medicare industry for over 14 years beginning his career as an agent for Nautilus Health Insurance (an affiliate of Greater Newport Physicians).
In 2014 Dan with his wife, Janette, established Peterka Insurance Brokers, Inc. which maintains a focus on Medicare health plan education and sales. Dan has continued to grow, under Janette’s careful guidance, and frequently leads Medicare Education presentations for both individuals and groups. He believes education can be entertaining as well as informative and finds joy in distilling Medicare’s sometimes vague information.
Dan is a member of the Hoag Concierge Team and holds his insurance license in 16 states.

Janette Peterka has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years, beginning her career in the Medicare sales division at Health Net of California. She moved into the large employer group sales and account management division, to provide client support and develop the Health Net commercial book of business.
Realizing her true passion was Medicare, Janette joined Pacificare’s SecureHorizon sales team in 2003. As National Director of Sales and Account Management, Janette was instrumental in launching Secure Horizons’ independent agent sales channel throughout the United States. In 2005 Pacificare was acquired by UnitedHealthcare, and Janette continued to train and support agencies and agents in offering the UnitedHealthcare Medicare portfolio to their clients.
In 2013 Janette stepped away from her role at UntiedHealthcare, and began her journey as an independent producer and agency owner. In 2014 Peterka Insurance Brokers, Inc was established with a primary focus on Medicare health plan education and sales. Along with her husband, Dan, they continue to educate individuals on the various options available in Medicare, and develop quality agents.
In 2018 Janette joined the team at Jack Schroeder and Associates, as Vice President of Sales for the Western Region. Her responsibilities at JSA focused on the development, education and training of independent insurance agencies and agents in the Medicare industry.
Janette returned to Peterka Insurance Brokers, Inc. in July, 2023. She is again working along side her husband Dan, focusing her efforts on mentoring new agents, business development, Medicare education and sales.
Janette is a member of the Hoag Concierge Team. She holds her insurance license in eleven states.

Taylor joined Peterka Insurance as Office Administrator in 2018. She obtained her
insurance license, and became a partner in 2025. As a partner, her focus is on client service and Medicare education. Taylor also conducts sales presentations for prominent hospitals and medical groups, as well as leading insurance carriers in Orange County. Her background is in customer relations, marketing, and social media, and she uses those skills to help support the agents of Peterka Insurance.
Taylor works in-office weekly, making follow up calls and keeping our secured records organized. She is committed to learning how to make the process of Medicare simple and easy for her future clients.
Outside of work, her hobbies include exploring new restaurants, spending afternoons at the dog park, and writing and producing music in her spare time.

Sylvia Mancino is an independent agent specializing in Medicare insurance coverage and education. After working in special education for 25 years for Tustin Unified School District, Sylvia has enthusiastically shifted her focus and commitment to senior health plans.

Isa Janus a Benefits and Medicare specialist at Peterka Insurance, a diversified insurance agency in Newport Beach, CA. She has 30 years’ experience in the health care field, with a strong background and passion for Retirees.
Her most recent position, a Sales Consultant at Keenan & Associates in the Municipalities division. Her responsibilities were to manage her client’s expectations and provide expertise in Medicare, GASB liabilities, Retiree Populations along with Private and Public Exchanges.
Prior to Keenan she held a 15-year tenure at UnitedHealthcare, her last position as Vice President Sales, Public Sector. Isa began in the industry in 1987 where she worked as a small group representative for PacifiCare. She then held sales positions in the large group market for HealthNet and moved on to National Accounts and Public Sector Sales at UnitedHealthcare.
Although her experience in the corporate side of the business, she has a strong passion for servicing the individual market, digging in deep with individuals that do not understand the Marketplace Benefits, Retiree Benefits and Medicare.

Isa's favorite pastime is enjoying time with her family and friends. Her interests are traveling, skiing, enjoys water sports along with good music, fun and lots of laughter. Born in Germany, her and her children were raised in Huntington Beach, married to John Janus a Principal at On-Site Builders a General Contractor, specializing in fast food chains.
She studied at University of La Verne, holds her Life and Disability license, is AHIPP certified and holds her National Producer license along with Multiple carrier appointments. She also holds her Notary and Real Estate license and served on the Orange County Association of Health Underwriters Board, (OCAHU) and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).
